About EasyGuides
EasyGuides publishes plain how-to guides for everyday tech and home fixes. This page explains how the guides are put together and the rules we hold ourselves to.
What we cover
We write about small, common jobs: choosing a charger or power strip, backing up your photos, improving Wi-Fi coverage, and basic home repairs like a running toilet or a slow drain. The aim is to help you finish one specific task and understand why each step matters, then get out of your way.
How we research guides
Each guide is written by the EasyGuides Editors. We start from the published instructions that manufacturers, standards bodies, and reputable technical references give for a task, and we describe the method that is widely accepted as safe and effective. Where there is more than one reasonable approach, we say so and explain the trade-offs.
- We describe product categories and the features worth checking, not specific models to buy.
- We avoid numbers we cannot stand behind. You will not find invented prices, ratings, or test results on this site.
- When a job involves electricity, water, or anything that can injure you, we flag it and point you to a professional when that is the sensible choice.
We do not accept payment for placement
No one can pay to appear in a guide, to be recommended, or to change what we write. We do not run sponsored guides. If that ever changes, any paid content will be labelled clearly as advertising and kept separate from our editorial guides. Our current and future approach to any affiliate links is set out on the advertising and affiliate disclosure page.
Corrections
We would rather fix a mistake than defend it. If you spot something that is wrong, unclear, or out of date, email contact@easyguides.store with the guide title and what you think is off. We review reports and update the guide when a correction is warranted.
A note on what this site is not
EasyGuides is a general-interest reference, not professional advice. For medical, legal, electrical, or structural questions specific to your situation, check with a qualified professional. Follow the instructions that came with your own equipment, since they override general guidance.
